Yahoo paid $900 million for it? I just read recently Facebook was for sale and in a huge bidding war. Myspace went for between $550-600 million. A bargain if you look at it now.

BTW that picture is disgusting. I just ate and I wish I hadn't seen that picture.

These days everybody wants to own a social-networking site, and Yahoo has offered about $900 million for Facebook. The media giant says it will keep the company relatively autonomous, with 22-year-old founder Mark Zuckerberg continuing to oversee the site, The N.Y. Times reports. Said an advisor to Facebook: “A lot of people say there are problems with having a 22-year-old <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = ST1 /><ST1:STOCKTICKER>CEO</ST1:STOCKTICKER> but one thing that is good about it is that he doesn’t remember the boom and the bust that followed. That has distorted the thinking of a lot of people. If they have a good product or service, they sell way too early and they don’t stick with it.
